but you don't have to listen

Just the rambling thoughts of a fool on the hill.
Some are mine.
Some are others.
Some may be yours as well.
Make of them what you wish.
Receive from them what you will.
Embrace truth wherever you find it.
Me? I'm still searching.
This is some of what I have found along the way.

May The Circle Be Unbroken
One World, One People, One Spirit, What we do, we do unto ourselves. We are the one who is here.

Once upon a time the people of a small planet came together and planted the flags of their many nations side by side.
Around these flags they gathered hand in hand wishing well to each other and to each others homeland.
So pervasive was the peace they shared that as each returned to his and her homelands this feeling of peace and brotherhood followed them and spread across their many lands.
Gaining strength as it grew this peace touched the minds and hearts of all of their peoples until it was shared by all the world.

May We Live Happily Ever After

The Edge of Night

Welcome To My World

Welcome to my world
Though I know it's your world too
Spend some time with me
And I'll share my thoughts with you

I'll tell you what I've seen
And what I think and feel
I use the words of Gandhi
And John Lennon cause they're real

It's not my story after all
It's the tale of everyone
All the children of the world
The children of the sun

The people of the planet earth
The flowers, rocks and trees
It's another version of the tale
Expressed in words like these

You'll find the story everywhere
Just look and you will see
The truth is all around us
It doesn't come from me

I am just a messenger
A fool upon a hill
I'll speak with words or pictures
I'll shout or I'll be still

Here then are the answers
To some questions I have asked
Read them if you want to
If not; Well then just pass

There's nothing new here after all
It's all been said before
It's just repeated and rephrased
And will be forever more

"Being Love" "Estar Enamorado"
A Collection of Poetry in English and Spanish
by

Jay Ross

In this collection of poems Jay explores the relationship between Love as an idea and an ideal. Using poetry as his thread, Jay weaves romance and philosophy into a single tapestry of desire, hope, and fulfillment through the exploration and expression of “Self”. This unique collection of Jay’s works brings the various aspects of Love into focus to create a meaningful cohesion of individual thought and personal emotion.

Patricia Anez, the translator for this collection, has splendidly captured the essence of Jay’s works, and created her own art in the process. Jay's work has appeared numerous times in "Poesia" a poetry journal published in the USA by Indian Bay Press. Three of Jay's poems have been nominated for the 2006 Pushcart Prize

My Pledge to My Self

I will progress each day by dealing with the life that I have created
in a calm considerate and loving manner,
ever conscious that each moment of thought, decision, word and action
will create my coming moments, days and years.
